If you’re Kobe Bryant, not even retirement or death can stop your shoes from saturating the market. To this day, the best Kobe shoes are still being sold by online and offline retailers.
While Kobe shoes are hard to come by these days, we’ve been able to review some of the most popular models to help you find the best fit.
TOP 5 best Kobe Bryant Sneaker in 2022
The best Kobe shoes in general
It’s not uncommon for brands to bring back past models as retro releases. Nike certainly didn’t make the mistake of getting Kobe Friday off the shelves once again. The Nike Kobe 6 Protro has YEARNING fans; and it did not disappoint!
Kobe’s shoes have always been considered to have great traction; The late Kobe Bryant was, after all, known for his rather sticky footwork. We had high expectations for this mean boy, and we’re happy to share that it didn’t disappoint. Sudden turns with awkward turns? Quick stop? Nothing is difficult to do.
Switch to padding; Kobe 6 Protro is really expanding its range of activities. Kobe is a protector, but this seems to be more than just a protective shoe for us. With the level of impact protection it provides feel and OUTSIDE bounce, bigger and heavier men can enjoy this too. Even the great LeBrons don’t have this kind of flexibility!
As for support, we have one word for this: awesome! We didn’t have any problems. Like a criminal, the feet are cuffed (comfortably) to the soles of the feet. It’s definitely not going anywhere, honey!
However, you may find some people complaining that these shoes are not really meant for outdoor use. We agree. But seriously? This is a Kobe for heaven’s sake! Kobes doesn’t deserve hard labor. It’s a bit expensive (hos!) Expensive, so it’s best to play indoors and just splurge outdoors!
Kobe shoes have the best grip
If you were to judge it by its name, you would think that the Nike Kobe AD NXT Fastfit is (1) a speed shoe with (2) a really nice fit. Well, you’re not wrong. Indeed, this basketball shoe feels really light and minimal. It also has a really explosive midsole that really helped propel us up the basket.
Besides, support and lock must die. We have never felt confident to move before. There is no wobble in the forefoot. There is also no heel slip. We can even claim that the FastFit technology used in the upper is implemented here better than any other shoe.
However, the shoe is still unfinished which surprises us. Hear this: traction is INSANE. Its squeal makes for the fact that it bites the floor so well; Quick stops and quick direction changes made easy.
While the energy return is really cool with this one, it’s not the only function its midsole tool has to offer. The hard-working minds at Nike have found a way to incorporate truly remarkable impact protection in this protective shoe.
It is true that the price can drive players (hopefully not you) away from this shoe. But for us, this shoe is dope! So take our money anytime, Nike!
Kobe shoes with the best cushion
Kobe’s post-retirement sneakers are the real bad boys on the court. The Kobe AD Mid offers a remarkable cushioning system. We just love how comfortable it feels underneath our feet; it’s as if we stepped on cotton!
Don’t get us wrong, though! Just because we said it’s dense doesn’t really mean the court feeling has been thrown out the window. We don’t know how Nike did it, but there’s just a perfect blend of the two.
Another thing that we really love about this shoe is that the AD Mid is incredibly supportive even if it only has basic support features. This proves that a shoe doesn’t really have to have flashy technology to be effective on the court.
Besides, AD Mid is also a complete monster when it comes to traction. We can’t tell you enough about the outsole’s stickiness, especially on fairly clean courts. This shoe is very close to the AD NXT Fastfit, our #1 for traction.
Because this shoe is also lightweight, really comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, its use has gone beyond the courts. We don’t mind wearing it for our gigs after our games. That’s right, if you get this, you get not only a “reliable playmate” but also a “fun friend”.
The best Kobe shoes for outdoor wear
Building a pro isn’t easy, especially if the OG is a sneaker loved by many for both its on-court performance and cultural significance. However, The Swoosh succeeded with the Nike Kobe 5 Protro. We dare say it’s a well-developed protocol: it adapts to modern needs without losing sight of its underlying story.
Now, what’s good about this Kobe? First and foremost, it is compatible with blacktop. Before the pandemic, many of us had no choice but to have fun outdoors. And we’re telling you: this bad boy right here is a monster even on those rough courts!
Support is also out of this world. Outer set effectively prevents side rolls. The heel counter successfully prevents slipping. The lacing system keeps the entire shoe in place. There’s really absolutely nothing to worry about.
Now that we’ve covered so many features, you’re probably thinking “Damn! Those shoes must be heavy! “But boy, you’ve made a big mistake. This is literally the lightest basketball shoe we’ve ever played in. No other sneakers can match this level of light when it comes to lightness.
The only thing that will probably stop you from getting this is its price. We understand that; but hey, because this shoe looks so catchy, you don’t need to spend extra dollars on another pair of sneakers. This is two in one, my brother! Now, isn’t that a good thing?
